Our own Sven Maerivoet presented the nuMIDAS project on Monday 30 May at the ITS European Congress in Toulouse, France. He gave an overview of the project’s background and the different objectives, as well as the four pilot cities where the system is being deployed, before explaining the different types of mobility services that have been investigated in the project. He furthermore highlighted the six specific use cases that have been selected for further implementation and also discussed some of the finer details, in particular the pre-planning of shared mobility services / operative areas analysis and planning for parking. Finally, he talked about the software deployments in the back-end and front-end of the toolkit and how all the use cases are integrated therein. Special emphasis was put on explicitly addressing cities as important stakeholders and possible future partners.
