Invited by the TRIBUTE project, our coordinator Sven Maerivoet presented nuMIDAS on Thursday 28 July 2022 at the 4th Steering Committee Meeting & 1st TRIBUTE Transnational Stakeholder Network Meeting. The workshop was held in Novi Sad, Republic of Serbia, with several attendees, including the nuMIDAS presentation, virtually participating. On Tuesday 21 June, nuMIDAS participated in the STORM stakeholder workshop. The main objective of the Horizon 2020 STORM project is to develop concepts, methods and tools to meet the new analysis, monitoring and evaluation requirements resulting from emerging disruptive technologies and trends in freight and logistics transport. The purpose of this workshop was to discuss and promote project results in collaboration with other EU-funded projects on common research and innovation topics. On 15 June, the second General Assembly of nuMIDAS was held in Thessaloniki, Greece. In the meeting, the current status of the work packages and of the different use cases was discussed and the next steps were elaborated. Another important aspect was the discussion on the exploitation of the nuMIDAS outputs. Overall, it was a fruitful and valuable meeting on the way to make nuMIDAS a success. Our own Sven Maerivoet presented the nuMIDAS project on Monday 30 May at the ITS European Congress in Toulouse, France. He gave an overview of the project’s background and the different objectives, as well as the four pilot cities where the system is being deployed, before explaining the different types of mobility services that have been investigated in the project. From 07 - 09 September this year, the 50th European Transport Conference (ETC) will take place in Milan. The annual conference of the Association for European Transport attracts transport policy makers, practitioners and researchers from across Europe and beyond. The ETC offers in-depth presentations on policy issues, best practices and research findings from across the transport spectrum. On Thursday May 19th, our project coordinator Sven Maerivoet was invited to the Open Government Week in Catalonia and participated in the event “Approaches on Mobility Data: Solutions in the Context of MOLIÈRE and other EU Projects”, organised by the Generalitat de Catalunya and our project partner Molière. Representatives from ATM, Carnet, Iomob, i2CAT, and UITP participated in the event and discussed different approaches to data openness, data exchange, data security, mobility data marketplaces, MaaS and blockchain technology. On 16 December 2021, the nuMIDAS team organised an online workshop for policy makers, researchers, and other interested stakeholders. The goal of the workshop was to disseminate and discuss the first results of nuMIDAS, as well as our ideas of the use cases and the related advanced methods and tools. On Friday June 28th, we had the pleasure of presenting NuMIDAS in an interactive workshop organized in the framework of the Smart Cities Symposium Prague 2021 (SCSP), led by our partner CTU- Czech Technical University in Prague (CTU). Our project coordinator, Sven Maerivoet was invited to participate in the first day of the Micromobility week event which was held between the 7th and 8th of July, it was sponsored by the H2020 Molière project and organized by nuMIDAS parter Factual.
